introduction

My paintings are in deep or shallow relief and are made to be hung on a flat wall or at the corner junction between walls. The medium is oil on pigmented epoxy resin, reinforced with fibreglass and diab. The imagery relates to urban and suburban landscape, particularly views taken from the car or the roadside.

The medium allows the composition to be ‘open', so that the work is not restricted to a square, rectangle or other regular format. This suits the typical visual experience of contemporary life, which is effected by persistent movement and changing stimuli.
