Oil on pigmented epoxy resin and electric light

This painting is inspired by the streetlamps which reveal sudden sections of brightly coloured foliage over an unbroken area of darkness.

The centre and focus of the lamp is thick white paint, formed into ridges. This gives way to greens and oranges, finally making a small pool- shaped object suspended away from its context.
